This is a trip from West Palm Beach to South Beach Miami, then over to Doral.

We take train across state from Tampa to West Palm beach.. bike a couple days to another train station (Doral), and then take the Amtrak back to Tampa.

Quick Summary:
Day 1: 15 miles ride from Amtrak train station to tour the beach neighborhoods, the clock tower, then to Oshea's for dinner, then to an Air B-n-B.

Day 2: 89 miles from West Palm Beach to South Beach, having drinks and some sightseeing along the way. After dinner at South Beach, we will ride to Doral to MIA Brewery and stay at Aloft in the same parking lot.
Day 3: 11 miles from Aloft Hotel in Doral to the Amtrak Station in Doral.

Details:
We would make reservations at a hotel or Air B-n-B near the train station. Depending on when the train arrives, I planned on riding around the multi-million dollar mansions and just playing it be ear. The mandatory clock tower pic will happen before the sun gets too low. I was going to head over to O'Shea's Irish pub for a burger and a Guinness, and to meet up with the two cyclist buddies I met there last time. One is a Jimmy John's delivery guy and another is a pedicab operator. After a night's sleep (I planned on staying at an Air BnB, which I found some really cool ones online and people can go in with you and share the costs) the next morning, I was going to start the ride about sunrise and get a mandatory sunrise shot, breakfast along the way (cafe con leche) and just enjoy the drink spots I listed in the route, along with some pic opportunities at the statues and piers and lighthouse, etc...

Miles...
Day 1: about 15 miles. It could be less if we don’t tour the beaches. From the train station to OSheas is like .3 miles. The clock tower is 2.8 miles from the train station. Pace is Leisure. Day 2: We start early and make the trip down the beach. From the Clock Tower to Lincoln Road Mall is 73 miles at no faster than 15 mph. Of course, anyone can ride at any pace. We have phones and can share our locations with each other. From there, we will go 18 more miles to MIA Brewery and Aloft Hotel. 89 miles with a couple resupply and drink stops.
Day 3: The next morning, we have an 11 mile jaunt to the train station, board, and come back home.

Natiive Cycling Adventures

It's about fitness, good times, and doing good deeds wherever we can!!!

See Florida like a Natiive, on a bicycle!

I plan and lead cycling adventures around the state of Florida. I am originally from Lakeland and now live in the Tampa Bay area. I have a passion for pushing my limits and traveling both, as a minimalist, but I also enjoy staying in luxury and style. I started cycling in 2018 after spinal fusion took my running away and found out that I see way more interesting things along longer routes. This led me to go further and further and extend my range with time. I do both on and off-road bikepacking trips. My MLK Jr weekend trip in Jan 2020 was my farthest ride (189 mi) in one day. Come along for the next one and make memories that last a lifetime.
