Memorial Day Weekend Ride. 3 Day ride. Starts 21 May. Ends 24 May. Palatka through Ocala to Tampa.

Updated: Aug 1, 2020

This is the replacement ride for my original plan from West Palm Beach to Miami. Due to the CORONAVIRUS, and the outbreak of the South Florida area, we are shifting the ride to the north and heading to the woods of the Ocala National Forest (ONF). Join me for a nature filled ride as we stay Covid-19 free. The plan is to arrive at the Amtrak Station on 21 May and depart around 1730 (5:30pm). There is an Irish Pub about a block away, where we will meet for a couple pints after checking in around 1400 (2pm) prior to boarding the train. The train will head to Palatka, arriving around 2120 (9:20pm). We will be spending the night nearby, and start peddling near sunup, back to Tampa. We will stop for some drinks, some good food, and maybe some sleep along the way. For more info, head over to the MeetUp websites called Pinellas Peddlers (html) @ XXXXX (html) for more details.

I plan and lead cycling adventures around the state of Florida. I am originally from Lakeland and now live in the Tampa Bay area. I have a passion for pushing my limits and traveling both, as a minimalist, but I also enjoy staying in luxury and style. I started cycling in 2018 after spinal fusion took my running away and found out that I see way more interesting things along longer routes. This led me to go further and further and extend my range with time. I do both on and off-road bikepacking trips. My MLK Jr weekend trip in Jan 2020 was my farthest ride (189 mi) in one day. Come along for the next one and make memories that last a lifetime.
